Grief: When Miscarriage Terrorizes Your Heart

May 27, 2019October 18, 2019 / Aletia Xerri / Leave a comment

I found out I was pregnant on Mother’s Day. I felt terrible. Tired and nauseous. My friend and I were sitting in my backyard chatting when she suggested I take a pregnancy test. I ran into the house, taking the stairs two at a time to grab one and take it. A few minutes later … Continue reading Grief: When Miscarriage Terrorizes Your Heart

Grief: What It Looks Like 7 Years After Miscarriage

About Me

“Your story is not finished; it is still being written.”

These were the words spoken by God to me through a woman I had just met.

And I speak them to you… God is not finished with us. No matter the pain, trial or hardship we face, our story is still being written. There is life to be lived, stories to be shared, and hope for our futures.

I wrote these words on my body in Italian for an International Women’s Day exhibition we were putting on in Rome. “La tua storia non è finita; si sta ancora scrivendo.”

It was a word that encouraged me deeply and I wanted to share it with you in the hopes it would spur you on — keep changing your world, and cling to the One who makes it all possible.
